Three Strike System

​

Following rules are on a three-strike system, if caught 3 times they will result in a perm ban. 

• Catfishing  

• Disrespectful Behavior 

• Failing to VC admins before CB

Catfishing

 

Admins can be requested to your clan chat at any time to disprove or confirm catfish allegations.  If admins find that there was in fact catfishing happening then you will fall into the three-strike system

​

• First strike  

  • Whole team placed on VC admins before cb for one month. Catfish account placed on a 2-week SD; players who had knowledge of the catfish account placed on a 1-week SD.    

• Second strike - 

  • Players who had knowledge of the catfish account placed on a 2-week SD; catfish account placed on a one-month SD.  

• Third strike - 

  • players who had knowledge of the catfish account 1 month SD and removal from rosters for the duration of this SD, leaders who play the cb with the catfish account 1 month SD, catfish account permanently banned from BOTC.  

• If caught catfishing within a month of the initial catfish incident the whole team will instantly receive strike 3 

• Players having knowledge of catfishing, this includes;  

  • Knowledge in clan chat 

  • Seening or messaging the clan chat after there has been a discussion of catfishing 

  • Playing the cb the catfish account played in.

Failing to VC Admins before CBs

 

If a team has been placed on VC admins before CBs there is a designated chat (see Video Calling Admins Before CBS rules for the full rules) in which they must complete their VCs. Even if one player fails to complete their VC the strike system still comes into play.

Failing to do so will result in the following; 

• First Strike 

  • 2-week SD for every player that failed to VC 

• Second Strike  

  • 1 month SD for every player that failed to VC 

  • Clan will be stripped of their rank and will remain at the bottom of leaderboards for the duration of their SD.  

• Third Strike  

  • Permanent Ban 

 

Disrespectful Behavior

This includes; 

• Body shaming or mentions of someone's physical appearance 

• Sharing personal photos 

• Mentioning ones living loved ones 

• Name calling 

• Disrespect towards admins and other members of the group 

• Racial, sexist and LGBTQ+ slurs 

• Threats, threatening or suicide mentions

• First Strike  

  • 2-week SD to the player(s) involved. 

• Second Strike 

  • 1 month SD to the player(s) involved, removal from rosters for the duration of the SD and removed from our comp page for 3 weeks.  

• Third Strike  

  • Permanent ban for the player(s) involved.

Permanent Bans

These will follow if any of the below rules are broken 

• If the player(s) has hit their third strike (combinations are also factored in for example; 

  • If a player has had one catfish or knowledge of catfish and one Disrespectful behavior strike, that player is on strike 2 and their next time breaking the rules will result in a permanent ban.  

• Mentioning anyone's child(ren) 

  • This will not be tolerated in any context. 

• Mentioning anyone's passed loved ones 

  • This will not be tolerated in any context.
